About Nectar's Location
Nectar is found in the middle of Blount County. It sits in a valley near the Locust Fork of the Black Warrior River. This river is part of a larger river system.
A main road, Alabama State Route 160, goes right through the town. This road can take you to other nearby places. If you go northeast, you'll reach Cleveland in about 4 miles (6.4 km). If you head southwest for about 14 miles (22.5 km), you'll get to Interstate 65 near Warrior.
The town covers a total area of about 1.8 square miles (4.7 square kilometers). Only a very small part of this area, about 0.015 square miles (0.04 square kilometers), is water.
