Ned Armstrong Luke, born on October 4, 1958, is an actor from the United States. He is most famous for his role as Michael De Santa in the popular 2013 video game Grand Theft Auto V. Throughout his career, he has acted in many movies and TV shows. He has also appeared in more than 100 commercials.

Ned Luke was born in Danville, Illinois. He grew up there before starting his acting journey.
Acting Career Highlights
Ned Luke's first big voice acting job was in the movie Rover Dangerfield. He played a sheepdog named Raffles. In the 1990s and early 2000s, he appeared as a guest star in many TV shows. He also acted in about 100 TV commercials for well-known products like Budweiser and Burger King.
Taking a Break and Returning
In 2007, Ned Luke felt like he needed a break from acting. He wanted his son to experience growing up in his hometown. So, he moved his family from Los Angeles back to Danville. There, he opened a restaurant with his brother.
After two years, he decided to return to acting. He and his family then moved to Ossining, New York. His agent suggested he try out for a role in a new video game. This game was Grand Theft Auto V by Rockstar Games.
Becoming Michael De Santa
At first, Ned Luke wasn't sure about acting in a video game. But after reading the script, he decided to go for it. He was chosen to play Michael De Santa, one of the main characters. He worked alongside Shawn Fonteno and Steven Ogg on the game.
Grand Theft Auto V became a huge success. It broke many sales records and is one of the highest-earning video games ever.
Other Projects and Appearances
Ned Luke continued to work with Rockstar Games after Grand Theft Auto V. He was interested in their Western-themed game, Red Dead Redemption 2. He got to play a character in that game using both his voice and motion capture. Motion capture is when an actor's movements are recorded and used for a digital character.
He also made a guest appearance on the TV show Boardwalk Empire. In 2024, he hosted the Future Games Show at Gamescom, a big event for video games.
Personal Life
Ned Luke has been married to his wife, Amy Sax, since 1997. They have one son together.
In November 2023, something unusual happened during one of Ned Luke's live streams. Someone made a false report to emergency services, causing police to arrive at his home. This is sometimes called "swatting." Ned Luke explained that this happened because his personal information had been shared online before. He clarified that the video game company was not responsible for this incident.
