Nelson Efamehule Agholor (born May 24, 1993) is a professional football player. He plays as a wide receiver. Nelson was born in Nigeria and moved to the United States when he was five. He played college football for the USC Trojans. The Philadelphia Eagles chose him in the first round of the 2015 NFL draft. During his time with the Eagles, Agholor helped them win Super Bowl LII. He has also played for the Las Vegas Raiders, New England Patriots, and Baltimore Ravens.

Early Life and High School Football
Nelson Agholor was born in Lagos, Nigeria. His family moved to the United States when he was five years old. He went to Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa, Florida. There, he was a star player for the Berkeley Buccaneers. He played in many positions, including running back, wide receiver, and defensive back. Experts thought he was one of the best wide receivers in his class. In January 2012, he decided to play college football at the University of Southern California.
College Football Career
Nelson Agholor started his college career in 2012. As a freshman, he played in all 13 games. He caught 19 passes for 340 yards and scored two touchdowns.
In 2013, during his second year, Agholor became a starting player. He played in all 14 games. He caught 56 passes for 918 yards and scored six touchdowns. Besides catching passes, Agholor also returned punts and kicks. He returned 18 punts for 343 yards and two touchdowns. He was recognized as a second-team All-American for his punt returns.
Agholor continued as a starter in his junior year in 2014. He had an amazing season. He caught 104 passes for 1,313 yards and scored 12 touchdowns. After this great season, Agholor decided to enter the 2015 NFL draft. He chose to skip his final year of college.
Professional Football Journey
Nelson Agholor was picked by the Philadelphia Eagles in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He was the 20th player chosen overall.
Time with the Philadelphia Eagles
First Seasons (2015–2016)
Agholor signed his first professional contract with the Eagles in May 2015. On December 13, 2015, he scored his first NFL touchdown. It was a 53-yard catch from quarterback Sam Bradford. In his first year, Agholor played 13 games. He had 283 receiving yards and one touchdown. In his second season in 2016, he played 15 games. He gained 365 receiving yards and scored two touchdowns.
Super Bowl Champion (2017)
In 2017, Agholor changed his jersey number to 13. He found more success when he started playing as a slot receiver. In the first game of the season, he scored a 58-yard touchdown. He finished that game with six catches for 86 yards. He scored another touchdown in Week 2.
Agholor had his best season yet in 2017. He gained more receiving yards and touchdowns than his first two seasons combined. The Eagles made it to Super Bowl LII. In the Super Bowl, Agholor caught nine passes for 84 yards. The Eagles won the game 41–33. This was their first Super Bowl championship ever!
Later Eagles Years (2018–2019)
In 2018, the Eagles kept Agholor for the 2019 season. In the first game of 2018, Agholor even threw a pass! It was a trick play that gained 15 yards. He scored his first receiving touchdown of the season in the next game. He had a great game against the Houston Texans, catching five passes for 116 yards and a touchdown. Agholor finished 2018 with 64 catches for 736 yards and four touchdowns.
In 2019, Agholor caught eight passes for 107 yards and a touchdown in Week 2. However, he had a tough moment when he dropped a pass that could have won the game. He finished the 2019 season with 39 catches for 363 yards and three touchdowns.
Time with the Las Vegas Raiders (2020)
On March 25, 2020, Agholor signed a one-year contract with the Las Vegas Raiders. He quickly made an impact. In his first game with the Raiders, he caught a 23-yard touchdown pass. He stepped up as a starter when another player got injured.
Agholor had a fantastic season with the Raiders. He caught a 59-yard touchdown against the Chiefs. He also had five catches for 107 yards and a touchdown against the Buccaneers. In Week 16, he had an amazing game against the Miami Dolphins. He caught five passes for 155 yards, including an 85-yard touchdown. He finished the 2020 season with 48 catches for 896 yards and eight touchdowns.
Time with the New England Patriots (2021–2022)
In March 2021, Agholor signed a two-year contract with the New England Patriots. In his first game with the Patriots, he caught a touchdown pass from Mac Jones. He finished the 2021 season with 37 catches for 473 yards and three touchdowns.
In 2022, Agholor had a strong game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He caught six passes for 110 yards and a touchdown. He finished the 2022 season with 31 catches for 362 yards and two touchdowns.
Time with the Baltimore Ravens (2023–Present)
On March 24, 2023, Agholor signed a contract with the Baltimore Ravens. In his second game with the Ravens, he caught five passes for 63 yards and a touchdown. He scored another touchdown in Week 7. His final touchdown of the 2023 regular season came in a big win against the San Francisco 49ers. Agholor finished the 2023 season with 35 catches for 381 yards and four touchdowns.
In the playoffs, Agholor scored a touchdown in the Divisional Round game. On February 18, 2024, he signed another contract to stay with the Ravens. He finished the 2024 season with 14 catches for 231 yards and two touchdowns.
