History of Netawaka
Netawaka was started in 1866. The name "Netawaka" comes from the Potawatomi language. It means "grand view," which suggests the area has beautiful scenery.
The first post office in Netawaka opened in January 1868. This was an important step for the community. It helped people send and receive letters and packages.
