Neuendorf-Sachsenbande is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the Wilstermarsch area of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is part of the Steinburg district.
This town covers an area of about 19.31 square kilometers (about 7.45 square miles). As of December 31, 2006, 493 people lived there. Neuendorf-Sachsenbande is famous for having the lowest point in Germany. This spot is about 3.54 meters (11.6 feet) below sea level.
History of Neuendorf-Sachsenbande
The town of Neuendorf-Sachsenbande was not always one single place. It was officially created on April 15, 2003. On this date, three smaller towns decided to join together. These towns were Neuendorf bei Wilster, Sachsenbande, and Bredensee. By combining, they formed the new municipality we know today.
