Newbold is a neighborhood located in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. It's known for its friendly community and growing popularity.
A developer named John Longacre gave the neighborhood the name "Newbold" in 2003. He got the idea from the original name of Hicks Street. Soon after, he helped create the Newbold CDC and a local group called a civic association. These groups helped other similar organizations start up in the area.
