Nichelle Prince's Club Career
Playing for Houston Dash
After playing college soccer with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Nichelle Prince was chosen by the Houston Dash in the 2017 NWSL College Draft. This is how many young players start their professional careers. Sadly, Nichelle missed most of the 2019 season. This was because she hurt her knee (tore her meniscus) while playing in the 2019 Women's World Cup.
Moving to Kansas City Current
In January 2024, Nichelle Prince made a big move! She was traded to the Kansas City Current. This means she changed teams to play for a new club.
Nichelle Prince's International Career
Nichelle Prince has played for the Canadian national team many times. She helped her team win a silver medal at the 2012 CONCACAF Under-17 Championship. They also won another silver medal at the 2016 CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Championship.
Olympic Success
Nichelle and her team won an Olympic bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. This was a huge achievement! On May 25, 2019, she was chosen to be on the team for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup. Even better, on August 6, 2021, she won the Olympic Gold Medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics with Canada. This is one of the highest honors in sports!
Reaching 100 Games for Canada
On July 31, 2024, Nichelle Prince played her 100th game for Canada. This is called earning her "100th cap." It happened during a 1–0 win against Colombia at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Nichelle Prince's father is from Jamaica, and her mother is from the United States. She has two sisters named Christine and Kendra. When she's not playing soccer, Nichelle loves to read, write, and do yoga. Some of her favorite soccer players include Christine Sinclair, Lionel Messi, and Carlos Tévez. She also admires Canadian hurdlers Perdita Felicien and Priscilla Lopes-Schliep. Her favorite soccer clubs are Real Madrid and Manchester City.
