Early Fights and Championships
He quickly became a star in the King of the Cage (KOTC) Canada fighting league. He won their Bantamweight championship and successfully defended his title once. This showed he was a very skilled fighter.
In 2009, Nick started fighting internationally. He joined the World Victory Road league in Japan and competed in their Sengoku Featherweight Tournament. He fought very well, making it all the way to the semi-final round. Later, he defeated another well-known fighter, Nick Mamalis, with a powerful knockout.
Joining the UFC

Retirement from Fighting
In November 2012, Nick Denis decided to retire from MMA. He made this choice because he was learning more about how fighting can affect brain health over time. His research and thoughts on this topic have been talked about on many sports shows and news outlets.
