Nicole Marie Galloway (born June 13, 1982) is an American politician and accountant. She served as the State Auditor of Missouri from 2015 to 2023. As a member of the Democratic Party, she was the party's choice to run for Governor of Missouri in 2020.
The job of the State Auditor is to be a "watchdog" for the government. They make sure that money from taxpayers is being spent correctly and that government offices are running well.
In 2015, Governor Jay Nixon appointed Galloway to the State Auditor position after the previous auditor, Tom Schweich, passed away. She was elected to a full term in 2018. For a time, Galloway was the only woman holding a statewide office in Missouri. She was also the only Democrat elected to a statewide office.
Galloway decided not to run for reelection in 2022. As of 2025, she is the most recent Democrat to have held a statewide office in Missouri.
