Nicolle Rochelle, also known as Nicole Leach, is a talented American actress, dancer, and jazz singer. She is famous for her roles on TV shows like Shining Time Station and The Babysitters Club. She also appeared in TV movies such as The Vernon Johns Story and Summertime Switch.

Early Life and Education

Nicolle Rochelle grew up in West Orange and Montclair, New Jersey. She went to Montclair High School. She finished high school early after three years. Later, she earned a degree in Linguistic Anthropology from Brown University.

Nicolle Rochelle has been in many TV shows. She often used the name "Nicole Leach" for her acting roles.

Early TV Roles

She was in the first season of Shining Time Station. She played Tanya Cupper, the granddaughter of the workshop's operator. The show also featured Ringo Starr from The Beatles. Nicolle also appeared in several episodes of The Babysitters Club series. She played a friend of the youngest Huxtable child in four episodes of The Cosby Show. She also had guest roles on Nickelodeon's Clarissa Explains It All as "Olivia DuPris". Other shows include Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego, Third Watch, and Law & Order.

Stage Performances

Nicolle has performed in many plays both on and off-Broadway. These include Dangerous Games and Fame on 42nd Street. In 2003, she played Katherine in Henry V for Shakespeare in the Park. In 2005, she took on the main role in the musical Nefertiti. From 2006 to 2010, she starred as Josephine Baker in the musical A la recherche de Josephine. This show toured in Paris, Europe, and the US.

Music and Touring

Since 2010, Nicolle Rochelle has toured around the world. She performs with the French electro-swing group "Ginkgoa". She also sings with Julien Brunetaud in their blues/jazz group "Nikki & Jules". She has been invited to sing with bands in many countries. These include Austria, Germany, Ukraine, Hungary, Argentina, Switzerland, and the US. She is now working on a new music project called "Modern GEAIsha". This project combines hip-hop fusion music with important messages.

Community Involvement

In 1995, while still in high school, Nicolle Rochelle took part in a musical. This event helped raise money to fight HIV/AIDS.
