The Nicolet Centre River is a river in Quebec, Canada. It's also known as rivière Nicolet Centre in French. This river flows into the Nicolet Southwest River, which is like a bigger stream it joins. You can find it in the town of Wotton, within the Les Sources Regional County Municipality. This area is part of the Estrie region of Quebec.

Where the River Flows

The Nicolet Centre River is surrounded by other rivers and waterways. These are like its neighbors in the water system:

River's Beginning and End

The Nicolet Centre River starts from several small streams in the mountains. These streams are found south of a road called Chemin des Anglais. They are also west of Lake Louise, west of the Saint-François River, south of Mont Ham, and west of the village of Weedon. This area is between two mountains. One mountain peak is 445 metres (1,460 ft) high to the west, and the other is 424 metres (1,391 ft) high to the east.

The Nicolet Centre River eventually flows into the Nicolet Southwest River. It joins the Nicolet Southwest River on its east side. This meeting point is upstream from a place called "Les Trois Lacs." It's also upstream from the 6th range bridge and downstream from Route 255.

What's in a Name?

The official name "Rivière Nicolet Center" was given on December 5, 1968. This name was made official by the Commission de toponymie du Québec, which is a group in Quebec that names places.
