Nilesh Limaye (Marathi: नीलेश लिमये) is a famous chef from India. He is also a TV host, a writer, and helps restaurants with their food. People sometimes call him "Sindbad the Chef" because he travels a lot. He runs his own company called "All 'Bout Cooking." This company helps new restaurants or existing ones with their food and drink ideas. Some of the restaurants he works with include Zikomo in Pune, Trikaya (in Pune and Mumbai), Gypsy Chinese in Dubai, and Tenzo Temple in Thane.

Early Life
Nilesh Limaye was born in a Marathi family in Mumbai, India. He grew up and went to college in Pune. He studied at MSHIMCT in Pune.
Becoming a Chef
After working in a hotel for two years, Nilesh decided he wanted to be a chef. He trained with a very experienced chef named Hemant Oberoi at the Taj Hotels. He also worked with other great chefs like Sanjay Malkani and Satish Arora.
Nilesh is skilled in many types of Indian food, like Maharashtrian, Punjabi, Mangalorean, Kerala, and North Indian dishes. But his cooking skills go beyond India! He is also an expert in Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Italian, Indonesian, and Mediterranean foods.
He learned to cook in many different places. This included fancy restaurants and places that made huge amounts of food, like buffets. He even worked for Taj Air Caterers, which prepares food for airplanes. He also managed the kitchen for the Hiranandani hospital.
Learning from Travel
Nilesh says that traveling has taught him a lot about food. He managed kitchens at Hawar, a small resort owned by the Emir of Bahrain on Hawar Island. He traveled to many interesting places like Norway, the Panama Canal, a Mexican island, Denmark, Buckingham Palace, and New Orleans. These trips helped him discover many different kinds of food and cooking styles.
Working in Restaurants
As a chef, Nilesh has worked with many well-known restaurants and hotels. These include the Taj Mahal Hotel, Hawar Resorts, Intercontinental, Gordan House Suites, Rodas, and The Orchid. He also worked with TAJ SATS and Hiranandani Hospital.

He also helps many restaurants as a consultant. This means he gives expert advice on things like how to design a kitchen, plan menus, and manage costs.

Nilesh was a chef consultant and host for a weekly episode of the TV show Amhi Sare Khawaiyye. This is a popular cooking show on Zee Marathi, an Indian TV channel.
He was also a host judge on the Mallika-E-Kitchen show on Colors TV.
Helping Others
Nilesh is a member of the Western India Chefs Association. This group is part of the Indian Federation of Culinary Arts. He has taken part in many community programs, especially during the Culinary Congress in 2007.
He organized a special lunch for charity and a Blood Donation Camp on International Chefs Day. He also helped with the "Shiv Vada Pav" idea. This project aimed to make the famous Mumbai snack, Vada Pav, known around the world. It also helped young Marathi people find jobs.
