Nishikant Kamat (born June 17, 1970 – died August 17, 2020) was a talented filmmaker and actor from India. He was known for directing and acting in many movies.
His first film, Dombivali Fast, was a big hit in Marathi cinema. It became the most popular Marathi film that year. He later made a Tamil version of this film called Evano Oruvan. Nishikant Kamat also acted in the Marathi movie Saatchya Aat Gharat.
His first Hindi film was Mumbai Meri Jaan. It was about the 2006 Mumbai Bombings. He also directed the action movie Force, starring John Abraham. This movie was a remake of a Tamil film. Nishikant Kamat also played a bad guy in the movie Rocky Handsome.
Nishikant Kamat was born into a Marathi family. He studied at Wilson College and Ramnarain Ruia College in Mumbai. He became well-known in college for his acting in plays. He passed away at the age of 50 due to illness.
