Getting Started as a Producer
Nitti Beatz began his journey in the music world around the year 2000. One of his early projects was producing music for the album Almost Famous by the rapper 8Ball.
His talent for making great beats caught the attention of Jermaine Dupri, a famous producer and the head of the So So Def record label. From 2005 to 2008, Nitti was signed to So So Def, where he worked on many different music projects.
Founding Playmaker Music
In 2002, Nitti started his own production company called Playmaker Music. A production company helps find and develop new talent, including singers, producers, and songwriters. Through Playmaker Music, Nitti helps new artists get their start in the industry.
The company is based in Atlanta, Georgia, a major hub for hip hop music. In 2016, Playmaker Music made a deal with 300 Entertainment, a larger company that helps distribute their music to a wider audience.
