Dorwin Demarcus Dorrough (born October 28, 1986), known as Dorrough Music, is an American rapper and songwriter. He is famous for his songs like "Walk That Walk", "Get Big", and "Ice Cream Paint Job". His song "Ice Cream Paint Job" was his biggest hit, reaching the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In May 2025, Rolling Stone magazine named him one of the top one-hit wonders of the 2000s.

Early Life and Early Music

Dorrough Music was born in Dallas, Texas, USA. He was the youngest of eleven children. When he was seven, he became very interested in basketball and played the sport until he was 18.

Even though he loved music, he only started making and writing it in high school. He began by mixing mixtapes for his friends who were rappers. Soon, he found out he was good at writing and performing his own music. He went to Lancaster High School in Lancaster, where he was the captain of the basketball team. He became popular by playing his music at games and selling his mixtapes at school. He also attended Prairie View A&M University, where he gained many fans among students, but he did not finish his degree there.

First Album: Dorrough Music (2008–2009)

His first song, "Walk That Walk", did well on the R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap charts. His second song, "Ice Cream Paint Job", was his first to reach the Billboard Hot 100 chart, getting to number 27.

His first album, also called Dorrough Music, came out on August 4, 2009. It reached number 36 on the Billboard 200 album chart. After "Ice Cream Paint Job" became a hit, a new version of the song was made. This remix came out on August 18, 2009, and featured other famous artists like Soulja Boy, Rich Boy, Jermaine Dupri, Jim Jones, Slim Thug, and E-40.

Second Album: Get Big (2010)

Dorrough Music released his second album, Get Big, on September 7, 2010. He released two official songs from this album: "Get Big" and another song featuring Yo Gotti. In 2012, he was featured on a song by E-40 called "I'm Doing It."

Mixtape Releases (2010-2015)

Dorrough Music has released several mixtapes throughout his career. Many of these were made with famous DJs.
