The North Fork San Gabriel River is a small river in California. It flows into the West Fork San Gabriel River. This river is about 4.5 miles (7.2 kilometers) long. It's located in the Angeles National Forest in Los Angeles County, California.
This river starts where two smaller streams, Soldier Creek and Coldbrook Creek, meet. It begins in the San Gabriel Mountains, near a place called Falling Springs. The river then flows south through a deep canyon. It eventually joins the West Fork near the San Gabriel Dam. The canyon where the North Fork flows is also home to SR 39. This road is one of the main ways to get into the beautiful Angeles National Forest.
