Northampton is a small community called a hamlet and a census-designated place (CDP) in Suffolk County, New York. It is located on Long Island in the Town of Southampton. In 2010, about 570 people lived here.
A CDP is a special area that the government uses for counting people. It helps them gather information about populations. The Eastern Campus of Suffolk County Community College is also found in Northampton.
