Northlake is a busy area in northeastern metro Atlanta, Georgia, United States. It is an unincorporated community in DeKalb County. This means it's a place where many people live and work, but it doesn't have its own city government.
Northlake is like a small city all on its own. It has many offices, shops, and homes. The area grew a lot after the Northlake Mall was built in 1971. Both the area and the mall are named after North Lake, which is a real lake nearby. Northlake is located northeast of Atlanta, close to where major highways I-285 and I-85 meet.
