Exploring Northwest Dallas
This area has a mix of places where people live and where businesses operate. It is bordered by major roads that help people get around.
Where is Northwest Dallas?
To the north, you'll find Interstate 635. The Stemmons Freeway is on the west side. The Dallas North Tollway forms the eastern border. To the south, the area extends to where Interstate 35E and the Dallas North Tollway meet.
Important Places in Northwest Dallas
Two well-known spots here are Love Field and the Stemmons Corridor. Love Field is home to the Dallas Love Field airport, which is a busy place for flights. The Stemmons Corridor is a long stretch of hotels and office buildings along Interstate 35E.
Just south of where I-35E and I-635 meet, you can find the Asian Trade District. This area is known for its unique shops and businesses.
Northwest Dallas also has a small freshwater lake called Bachman Lake. This lake is fed by the Bachman Branch, which is a part of the Trinity River.
Education in the Area
The Dallas Independent School District (DISD) is in charge of schools in Northwest Dallas. DISD also runs the Alfred J. Loos Athletic Complex. This sports complex is located in Addison, which is very close to Northwest Dallas.

Light Rail System
The DART light rail system serves Northwest Dallas. You can use the Orange Line and Green Line lines to get around. Here are some of the stations:
