Nowe Warpno is a charming old town in northwestern Poland. It is located in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, close to the German border. This historic town is known for its beautiful lagoon and interesting old buildings.

Where is Nowe Warpno?

Nowe Warpno sits right on the shore of the Szczecin Lagoon. This large body of water is like a big bay. The town is also very close to the border with Germany.

Nowe Warpno is the main town of an administrative area called a gmina. This gmina is also named Gmina Nowe Warpno. The town is part of a historic region called Western Pomerania.

Port of Nowe Warpno

The town is on an inlet called Nowe Warpno Bay. This bay is part of the larger Szczecin Lagoon. Just across a narrow water channel, about 800 meters wide, is a German village called Altwarp. There's even a tiny island that belongs to Nowe Warpno very close to Altwarp.

You can take a ferry between Nowe Warpno and Altwarp. It's a fun way to cross the border into Germany!
