What Was Noyers-Missy?
Noyers-Missy was what is known as a "commune" in France. A commune is like a small town or a local district with its own local government. It's the smallest way France divides up its land.
How Noyers-Missy Was Formed
Noyers-Missy was created on January 1, 2016. It came about when two older communes, Noyers-Bocage and Missy, decided to join together. This is called a "merger," where two or more places combine to form one new place.
Its Short History
Even though Noyers-Missy was just formed, it didn't last long as a separate commune. Exactly one year later, on January 1, 2017, it merged again. This time, it became part of an even newer and larger commune called Val d'Arry. So, Noyers-Missy existed as its own commune for only one year.
Where Was Noyers-Missy Located?
Noyers-Missy was situated in the Calvados department. A department in France is a larger administrative area, similar to a county in some other countries. Calvados is in the northwestern part of France.
