Nunspeet is a town and a municipality in the central part of the Netherlands. A municipality is like a local government area. Nunspeet has been a farming area for a very long time, even since prehistoric times!
The municipality of Nunspeet includes the main town of Nunspeet and several smaller villages. These villages are Hulshorst, Elspeet, and Vierhouten. Nunspeet has a rich history. Its original name was Nuwenspete. In 1972, Nunspeet became its own separate municipality. Before that, it was part of another area called Ermelo.
