Nuttby Mountain is a cool peak in Canada, located in Nova Scotia. It's part of the Cobequid Mountains. For a long time, people thought it was the highest point on the mainland part of Nova Scotia. It stands about 360 meters (or 1,181 feet) tall. However, in 2017, scientists found two other peaks that are actually a tiny bit taller! One is Higgins Mountain, and another unnamed peak near Hart Lake.

Where is Nuttby Mountain?
Nuttby Mountain is found in Colchester County, Nova Scotia. It's about 20 kilometers north of a town called Truro. You can find it west of Route 311.

Communication Towers
There are several tall communication towers on the peak. These towers help send signals for phones, internet, and other important services across the area.
Old Fire Lookout Tower
For many years, from 1937 to 2013, a fire lookout tower stood on Nuttby Mountain. People used this tower to spot forest fires from high up. This helped protect the forests and communities nearby.
Wind Farm for Clean Energy
A large wind farm was built on the mountain in 2010. This farm covers about 400 acres. It uses the wind to create electricity. As of 2017, Nova Scotia Power owned 22 large Enercon E82 wind turbines there. These turbines work together to produce 50.6 megawatts of clean energy. This is enough power for many homes!
