OMG! Jedward's Dream Factory was an exciting Irish TV show for children. It starred the famous pop duo Jedward, who are twin brothers John and Edward Grimes. The show was all about making kids' biggest dreams come true!
In every episode, Jedward worked hard to help children achieve their special wishes. These wishes were really diverse and fun! Some kids wanted to meet their favourite sports heroes, like players from Manchester United. Other dreams included swimming with a dolphin, interviewing famous TV presenters, or even meeting pop groups like The Saturdays. Sometimes, the wishes even involved Jedward themselves! Each episode kicked off with a cool musical performance by Jedward.
The show was quite popular and even received some awards. The first series was nominated for the best Children's/Youth Programme at the 2012 Irish Film & Television Academy Awards. It also won an award for its online campaign. The second series was also nominated for the best Children's/Youth Programme at the 2013 Irish Film & Television Academy Awards.
The first series of OMG! Jedward's Dream Factory started on Christmas Day 2011. It aired every day until January 3rd, 2012. The second series also began on Christmas Day in 2012 and ran until January 4th, 2013, with no show on New Year's Eve.
After OMG! Jedward's Dream Factory finished, the TV channel RTÉ decided to create a new show with a similar idea. In 2013, the show was relaunched as Una’s Dream Ticket. This new version was hosted by The Saturdays member Una Healy.
