Oak Hill is found in the southwestern part of Manistee County. It is in the northeast section of Filer Charter Township.

A special feature of Oak Hill is that its northeast side touches Manistee Lake. This lake is a beautiful natural landmark. U.S. Route 31 runs along the western edge of Oak Hill. This major road can take you north into Manistee or south about 25 miles to Ludington.
