Herminio Jose Lualhati "Ogie" Alcasid Jr. (born August 27, 1967) is a famous Filipino actor, singer, songwriter, comedian, director, and producer. He is well-known for writing many popular songs and working with other music artists.
Ogie has appeared in many movies and TV shows. He was a cast member of Tropang Trumpo (1994–1995) and Bubble Gang (1995–2013; 2025–present). He also hosted and performed on SOP (1997–2010) and ASAP (2017–present). He is married to singer Regine Velasquez, and they have a child together.

Ogie's Early Career
Ogie Alcasid was part of an all-male singing group called Kundirana in 1984. His first music album came out in 1989. His first movie, Feel Na Feel, was released in 1990 by Regal Entertainment. In 1991, Ogie made his first movie with VIVA Films, called Pitong Gamol.
Ogie's TV Journey
Ogie's TV career began in 1992 as a host for the comedy show Small Brothers on ABS-CBN. He also appeared in other comedy shows like Mana Mana (1991–92), Tropang Trumpo (1994–1995), and Bubble Gang (1995–2013). He was also in Ay, Robot! (2005–07) and the sitcoms Show Me Da Manny (2010–11) and Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis (2025-present).
Ogie also hosted game shows. He hosted Game Na Game Na! in 1995 and Family Feud in 2001. He was a host on SOP Rules. He got a big role in Hanggang Kailan, his first drama show, and sang its main song. In 1995, he moved from ABS-CBN to GMA Network. In 2003, he played Juan Flavier in a story about his life on Magpakailanman.
Ogie was a judge for Pinoy Idol. He also hosted game shows like Da Big Show and Hole in the Wall. In 2013, he moved from GMA Network to TV5. His first project there was The Mega and the Songwriter.
In 2016, Ogie returned to ABS-CBN. He became a judge for Tawag ng Tanghalan on It's Showtime. He also judged Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids starting with its first season. He is now a main performer on ASAP Natin 'To and a co-host of It's Showtime.
He has also appeared as a guest on several GMA Network shows. These include Yan Ang Morning!, Sunday PinaSaya, and Eat Bulaga!. He was a special guest on Sarap Diva, hosted by his wife, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid. He also visited Bubble Gang, where he was a cast member for many years.
Ogie's Music Career
Ogie Alcasid started his singing career in 1989 with his first album, Ogie Alcasid. This album quickly became a gold record. His first single, "Nandito Ako" ("I Am Here"), was named "Song of the Year" by a local radio station.
Since then, he has released 18 albums. These include a Christmas album, a live album, and several greatest hits collections. He has earned many awards for his music, including twelve gold records, three platinum records, and three double platinum records.

- He was a Commissioner of the EDSA People Power Commission from 2011 to 2016.
- He is a spokesperson for the Sagip Foundation.
- He supports the Kapuso Foundation with his wife, Regine, through their "Ukay-Ukay" project.
- He is an Ambassador for Heritage/ASEAN for the National Commission for Culture and Arts.

Ogie's Personal Life
In 1995, Ogie married Michelle van Eimeren, an Australian beauty queen. Michelle represented Australia in the 1994 Miss Universe pageant held in the Philippines. They have two daughters, Leila (born 1997) and Sarah (born 2002). In 2007, Ogie announced that he and Michelle had separated.
On June 7, 2024, Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Notre Dame Australia. Her sister, Leila Alcasid, and their mom, Michelle van Eimeren, attended her graduation.
On December 22, 2010, Ogie married singer Regine Velasquez in Nasugbu, Batangas. They have a son named Nathaniel James, also known as Nate, who was born on November 8, 2011. On April 25, 2024, Nate finished his primary education at Centro Montessori Internationale in Quezon City.
Ogie Alcasid is an Evangelical Christian and attends services at Victory Christian Fellowship. Comedienne Ai-Ai De las Alas is his cousin.
