Oh Kyo-moon (born March 2, 1972) is a famous archer from South Korea. He is known for his amazing skills with a bow and arrow.
Oh Kyo-moon has won many medals in major competitions. He earned a silver medal with his team and a bronze medal on his own at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Four years later, he helped his team win a gold medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. In the individual competition at the 2000 Olympics, he finished in sixth place.
World Record Holder
Oh Kyo-moon was once a world record holder in archery. He held the record for a single FITA round. A FITA round is a type of archery competition where archers shoot arrows at targets from different distances. His record score was 1379 points.
However, his record was later broken by another South Korean archer, Oh Jin-hyek. Oh Jin-hyek scored 1386 points at the 2009 World Championships in Ulsan. Even though his record was broken, Oh Kyo-moon's achievement showed how skilled he was.
