This mall is home to over 120 different stores! Its main, big stores, often called "anchor stores," include Boscov's, Ulta Beauty, AMC Theatres, Marshalls, Tilt Studio, Michaels, Dunham's Sports, Five Below, and even a COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic. There is also one empty space that used to be a Macy's store.

The Mall's Story
The Ohio Valley Mall officially opened in October 1978. When it first started, its main anchor stores were Montgomery Ward, Kaufmann's, JCPenney, Sears, and L.S. Good.
Changes Through the Years
Over time, some of these original stores changed.
- Montgomery Ward closed in 1983 and was replaced by Kmart later that same year.
- L.S. Good closed in 1982. That space then became Stone & Thomas, followed by Burlington Coat Factory, and then Steve & Barry's. Steve & Barry's closed in 2009.
- Stone & Thomas later moved to a bigger spot inside the mall. In 1996, that company was sold to Elder-Beerman.
- Old Navy opened its doors in 1999.
- Kaufmann's became Macy's in 2006.
- JCPenney moved to Triadelphia, West Virginia, in 2007.
New Stores and Renovations
After JCPenney moved, Levin Furniture took over its old spot. Crafts 2000, and later Pat Catan's, replaced the former Steve & Barry's store in 2010. Old Navy also moved to West Virginia in 2009, and Waldenbooks closed in 2010.
In 2012, the Cafaro Company announced plans to update the mall's inside and add a new main store. The Ohio Valley Mall is special because it has one of only two Sam Goody stores left in the entire country!
Levin Furniture closed in 2012. In early 2013, it was confirmed that the space would become a Boscov's. This was the very first Boscov's store to open in Ohio! Also in 2013, MC Sports opened where Old Navy used to be.
Recent Changes and New Additions
Kmart and Elder Beerman both closed in March 2017. MC Sports also closed in April 2017.
