Olga Seryabkina's Life and Music Career
Early Life and Start in Music (1985–2007)
Olga Seryabkina started learning ballet when she was seven years old. She studied at an art school in Moscow. Later, she earned a diploma in translation and business. Olga can speak Russian, English, and German fluently.
Time with Serebro (2007–2019)
After her early studies, Olga joined the girl group Serebro. Her friend Elena Temnikova, who was already a member, helped her get an audition. The group took part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007. They performed well and won third place in the competition.
Serebro became one of the most popular bands in Russia. In 2007, Olga began writing songs for the group. There were some rumors in October 2007 that Olga might leave the band. People thought she had problems with the lead singer, Elena Temnikova. However, these rumors were not true. The band's manager, Max Fadeev, even said a replacement for Olga had been found. But Olga decided to stay with Serebro.
On October 9, 2018, Olga Seryabkina announced on Instagram that she would leave the group in 2019. She was the only original member left at that time. She wanted to focus on her own music career.
Solo Music Journey (2014–Present)
Olga started her solo career in 2014. She used the stage name Holy Molly for a song called "Kill Me All Night Along" with DJ M.E.G.. In 2015, she released her first solo song with the same name. She then shortened her stage name to Molly and continued to release new songs.
In February 2019, Olga officially left Serebro. In April of the same year, she released her first solo album, called Косатка в небе.
Since 2020, Olga has been working under her own name, Olga Seryabkina. She is no longer with the "MALFA" music label. On April 22, 2022, she released her album Синий цвет твоей любви. This album had ten songs. Just a few hours after its release, it became number one on the iTunes chart in Russia.
Other Activities and Interests
On August 8, 2008, Olga took part in a "stars motor racing" event. This event was held at Yarkhoma Park. Other famous people also competed, including Iljya Zudin and Marina Lizorkina from Serebro. Lena Kukarskaya and Oleg Dobrynin from Star Factory also joined. Maxim Postelnyj and Sid Spirin were there too.
The Serebro band members showed a lot of excitement. Marina Lizorkina even brought her motorcycle gloves. Lena Temnikova came to support her bandmates but did not race. Only three people made it to the final race. It was a timed race without obstacles. Olga Seryabkina won the competition.
