The area around Olmedo de Camaces has interesting hills. To the north, you'll find a range of quartzite hills. These hills border other towns like Cerralbo. Two of the highest points in the region are the Picon de Olmedo, which is 797 meters (2,615 feet) high, and the Cerro de San Jorge, standing at 825 meters (2,707 feet).
Below these hills, the landscape changes to what is called a 'peneplain' or 'charro' field. This area is mostly open meadowland. You'll see many oak trees and herds of 'Morucha' cattle grazing peacefully.
