History of Olsburg
Olsburg was first settled in the late 1870s. Many of the first people to build homes and businesses here were from Sweden. The city was named after Ole Thrulson, who was one of the early settlers in the area.
The first post office in Olsburg opened in 1873. For a while, the post office spelled the name "Olesburgh." But by 1887, it changed to the spelling we know today: Olsburg.
