Olumuyiwa "Olu" Famutimi (born February 21, 1984) is a Canadian professional basketball player. He currently plays for the Scarborough Shooting Stars in the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). Before becoming a pro, he played college basketball for the University of Arkansas.

Early Life and Basketball Dreams
Olu Famutimi was born in Canada, and his family comes from Nigeria. He first caught attention playing high school basketball in Toronto, Ontario. This was during his first year at Chaminade College School.
Soon after, he moved to Flint, Michigan, and joined Flint Northwestern High School. There, he played for the Flint Northwestern Wildcats. He quickly became known as one of the best young players in the country. At one point, ESPN.com ranked him as the seventh best player nationally. However, a serious injury changed his path and kept him out of the spotlight for a while.
College Basketball Journey
After high school, Famutimi played two seasons of college basketball. He attended the University of Arkansas. During his time there, he was recognized as one of the best new players in the Southeastern Conference.
He played in 57 games for the Arkansas Razorbacks. On average, he scored 8.3 points and grabbed 3.9 rebounds per game. He played for about 22 minutes in each game. Even with his injury, he decided to try for the 2005 NBA draft early. However, he was not chosen by any team in the draft.
Professional Basketball Career
After college, Olu Famutimi continued to pursue his basketball dream. He was invited to a training camp with the Philadelphia 76ers. He played in four preseason games, scoring 4.5 points and getting 2.0 rebounds per game. But he was later released from the team.
Starting in the D-League
In the 2005–06 season, Famutimi played for the Arkansas RimRockers. This team was part of the NBA's development league. He played in 47 games for them. He averaged 6.8 points and 2.7 rebounds in about 16 minutes per game. He was very good at shooting, making 51.3% of his shots.
In 2006, he signed with the San Antonio Spurs as a free agent. But he was released before the season began.
Playing Overseas
Famutimi then took his talents overseas. He played basketball in several countries. He spent two years playing in Turkey. He also played professionally in France, Germany, and Ukraine.
Return to Canada
On December 17, 2013, Famutimi signed with the Halifax Rainmen. This team is part of the NBL Canada. After playing one year with the Island Storm, he joined the Saint John Mill Rats on March 14, 2016.
Later in 2016, on August 18, he signed with Quilmes de Mar del Plata in Argentina. He played ten games for them before leaving the team in October 2016. On November 3, 2016, he returned to Canada. He signed with the Saint John Riptide for the 2016–17 NBL Canada season.
He continued playing in the CEBL. He played for the Guelph Nighthawks in the 2019 CEBL season. In 2019, he also joined the KW Titans. Famutimi later played for the Edmonton Stingers in the 2021–22 BCL Americas tournament.
Most recently, on May 12, 2022, Famutimi signed with the Scarborough Shooting Stars. He is still playing for them in the CEBL.
International Play
Olu Famutimi also represents his home country on the world stage. He plays internationally for the Canadian national team.
