Omari Shaquille Douglas (born March 24, 1994) is a talented English actor. He is well-known for his role as Roscoe Babatunde in the TV show It's a Sin (2021). Omari has been nominated for important awards like a British Academy Television Award and a Laurence Olivier Award.
Early Life and Education
Omari Douglas grew up in Wolverhampton, England. He was an only child. His mother raised him there, while his father lived in the United States. Omari's family background is Jamaican.
When he was younger, Omari took classes at the Wolverhampton Youth Music Theatre. After finishing school at Thomas Telford School, he moved to London in 2012. He went to a special acting school called the Arts Educational Schools. He graduated from there in 2015.
Acting Career Highlights
Omari Douglas started his acting journey in theatre. He performed in many plays and musicals. Some of his early roles included High Society and Wise Children. He also appeared in Peter Pan and Jesus Christ Superstar. These shows were at famous places like the Old Vic and Regent's Park Open Air Theatre.

Omari also starred in the play Constellations in 2021. He performed alongside Russell Tovey. For this role, he was nominated for an Olivier Award in 2022. This award is a very important theatre award in the UK. Later in 2021, he joined the cast of Cabaret in London's West End. He played the character Cliff.
Omari is also making his debut in movies. He is set to appear in a film called Midas Man. He also had roles in the short film Swim (2022) and the movie Rye Lane (2023). On TV, he has appeared in I Hate Suzie Too (2022) and Nolly (2023). In 2024, he was in the series Black Doves.
