The Story of Onefour

The name "Onefour" comes from its original location. It was first a ranch in an area known as Township 1, Range 4. As the research station grew, its main buildings moved. They went to a new spot in Township 2, Range 4. But the name Onefour stayed the same.

Life at Onefour

Onefour was once a busy little community. It had a store where people could buy things. There was also a school for the children of the staff. An assembly hall was used for meetings and events. Many homes were built for the people who worked there.

Onefour Today

Today, Onefour is much quieter. Most of the old buildings are gone. Only a few staff homes are left. You can still see two duplexes, which are homes divided into two living spaces. There is also a cookhouse and some offices. These buildings are a reminder of the important research done there.
