What Makes Orchard Square Special?

The Amazing Clock

The most eye-catching part of Orchard Square is its special chiming clock. This clock has moving figures that show the history of Sheffield's famous cutlery trade. It's a cool way to learn about the city's past while you shop!

A Fresh New Look

To celebrate its 21st birthday, Orchard Square got a big makeover. This update helped the TK Maxx store become much bigger. It now has three levels and covers about 45,000 sq ft (4,200 m2)! The new look was finished in October 2008, and the shops were ready for customers just before Christmas that year.

Get Your VIP Card!

Orchard Square has a special customer loyalty card called the VIP Card. It's super easy to get one! You can sign up on the Orchard Square website or fill out a form at the centre. Just look for the collection box near the toilets by Waterstone's.

This VIP card isn't about earning points. Instead, you just show your card at participating stores to get cool discounts. VIP card holders also get to enter fun competitions regularly. It's a great way to save money and enjoy extra perks!

A Glimpse into History

Orchard Square is built on a site with a rich past. It used to be where John Brown & Co. had their steel works. This company grew to be one of the biggest steel businesses before it became part of a national company. Later, another part of their old factory site became the huge Meadowhall Shopping Centre.
