Orienta is a small community located in Major County, Oklahoma, in the United States. It is known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that don't have their own local government. Instead, the larger county government manages the area.

Orienta is found at an important meeting point of two major roads. These are U.S. Route 60 and U.S. Route 412. This makes it easy to reach and travel through.
Where is Orienta Located?
This community is situated in a scenic part of Oklahoma. It lies north of a town called Fairview. To its east, you can find the unique Glass Mountains. South of the Cimarron River is where Orienta is located.
How Orienta Got Its Name
The post office in Orienta was officially opened on March 12, 1901. The community received its name from a railway line. This railway was called the Kansas City, Mexico and Orient Railway. Orienta grew up along the path of this railway.
