Orlando Miller Salmon, born on January 13, 1969, is a former professional baseball player. He played as a shortstop in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1994 to 1997.

Orlando Miller's Baseball Journey
Orlando Miller began his professional baseball journey in 1988. He first signed with the New York Yankees team. This was the start of his career in the minor leagues.
Climbing the Minor League Ranks
In 1991, Orlando was traded to the Houston Astros organization. He played for two different teams that year. These were the Jackson Generals in the "Double-A" Texas League. He also played for the Osceola Astros in the "Class-A" Florida State League.
Orlando returned to the Jackson Generals in 1992. Later that season, he moved up to "Triple-A" baseball. He joined the Tucson Toros in the Pacific Coast League. He played for the Toros again in 1993.
Making It to the Major Leagues
Orlando Miller got his big chance in 1994. He joined the Houston Astros in Major League Baseball. He played for the Astros for three seasons, from 1994 to 1996.
After his time with the Astros, he played for the Detroit Tigers in 1997. This was his final season in Major League Baseball.
Continuing His Professional Career
Even after his MLB career, Orlando kept playing baseball. He spent eleven more seasons in the minor leagues. He played for teams like the Guerreros de Oaxaca in the Mexican League in 2000. He also played for the Olmecas de Tabasco in 2002.
In 2007, he played for the Sioux Falls Canaries. This team was part of an independent league called the American Association. Orlando finished his long minor league career in 2008. His last team was the Edmonton Cracker-Cats.
