Ormalingen is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the Sissach district of Switzerland. It's part of the Basel-Country canton.

Ormalingen was first mentioned in official records way back in the year 1280. Back then, it was known by a slightly different name: Normendingen.

Ormalingen covers an area of about 6.94 square kilometers (2.68 square miles). A big part of this land, about 51%, is used for farming. Forests cover another large section, about 37.5% of the area.
Around 11.4% of Ormalingen is built up with buildings and roads. A tiny part, 0.1%, is made up of rivers or lakes. The town is found in the Sissach district, in the upper part of the Ergolz valley. It sits along an old road that goes over the Schafmatt pass.
