Osa Massen (born Aase Madsen Iversen, January 13, 1914 – January 2, 2006) was a talented actress from Denmark. She became a well-known movie star in Hollywood. In 1941, she officially became a citizen of the United States.

Early Life and Acting Career
Osa Massen was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. She started her career as a newspaper photographer. Later, she decided to become an actress. She first traveled to the United States in 1937. She arrived in New York on December 23, 1937, after sailing from England.
Starting in Movies
Osa Massen's first movie was Kidnapped in 1935. She played a memorable role in A Woman's Face (1941). In this film, she acted alongside Melvyn Douglas and Joan Crawford. She also appeared as a mysterious character in Deadline at Dawn (1946). One of her notable roles was in Rocketship X-M (1950). This movie, co-starring Lloyd Bridges, was one of the first space adventure films after World War II.
TV Shows and Later Roles
Later in her career, Osa Massen appeared in many different television shows. She was a guest star three times on the popular show Perry Mason. In 1958, she played Lisa Bannister in an episode called "The Case of the Desperate Daughter." She also appeared in "The Case of the Shattered Dream" in 1959. Her last television role was in 1962, playing Lisa Pedersen in "The Case of the Tarnished Trademark."
Personal Life
Osa Massen was married three times during her life. One of her marriages was to Allan Hersholt. He was the son of another famous actor, Jean Hersholt. They were married on December 15, 1938.
Her Final Years
Osa Massen passed away on January 2, 2006. She was almost 92 years old. She died in Hollywood, California, after a surgery. Her burial place is at Westwood Memorial Park in Los Angeles, California. Her plaque there lists her name as Osa Massen Vogel.
