Osilo (Sardinian: Ósile) is a small town in the Sardinia region of Italy. It is located in the Province of Sassari, about 170 kilometers (105 miles) north of Cagliari. Osilo is also about 10 kilometers (6 miles) east of the city of Sassari. This area is part of the traditional Anglona region.
The town of Osilo includes smaller villages and hamlets called frazioni. These are Santa Vittoria and San Lorenzo. Osilo shares its borders with several other towns. These include Cargeghe, Codrongianos, Muros, Nulvi, Ploaghe, Sassari, Sennori, and Tergu.
Economy and Local Products
The main ways people make a living in Osilo are through farming and raising animals. Many people raise sheep. There are about 250 companies in the area that produce dairy products from sheep's milk.
