Overall is a small community in Warren County, Virginia, United States. It's considered part of the larger Washington-Arlington metro area. A Look Back at Overall's History
Overall has had a few different names over the years! It was first called Centre Mills, then Milford, before finally becoming known as Overall.
Early Settlers and Homes
A man named John Froman Overall (1756-1819) is buried in the Overall cemetery. His son, Isaac Overall (1776-c 1843), built an early 1800s home from plastered logs. Today, only the limestone foundation of this Overall House remains.
The Milford Battlefield
The area is also home to the Milford Battlefield. This historic site was where a battle took place in 1864 during the American Civil War. Both the Milford Battlefield and the Page County Bridge No. 1990 are important historical places. They are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, which means they are protected for their historical value.

Overall Run and Its Waterways
Overall Run is a stream that flows west from Brush Mountain. Brush Mountain is part of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Overall Run eventually joins the South Fork of the Shenandoah River. There's also a smaller stream that flows into Overall Run from Sandbank Hollow.
Overall Falls: Virginia's Highest Waterfall
Just east of Overall, you'll find Shenandoah National Park. This park is home to the amazing Overall Falls, which is the highest waterfall in all of Virginia! It's a truly impressive sight to see.
