Oxegen was a huge yearly music festival in Ireland. It began in 2004 and was known as the country's biggest music event. It was a place where many famous bands and artists performed live.

The festival took place at the Punchestown Racecourse in County Kildare, which is in Ireland. This big area was perfect for hosting so many people.
How Big Was It?
Oxegen was a massive event! About 80,000 people attended each day. Around 70,000 of these people camped right at the festival site. The rest traveled to the site each day to enjoy the music.
Festival Fun and Comparisons
Oxegen often happened on the same weekend as another big festival called T in the Park in Scotland. They even shared many of the same bands! Many people thought of Oxegen as Ireland's version of the famous Glastonbury Festival. For example, in 2008, Oxegen shared three of its main bands with Glastonbury. People from all over the world traveled to Ireland to experience Oxegen.
