Pablo is a fun British TV show for kids that first aired on CBeebies in the UK on October 2, 2017. It was created by Grainne McGuinness. The show follows the exciting adventures of Pablo, a five-year-old boy who is autistic. He has special imaginary animal friends, called the Book Animals. Together, they go on adventures in Pablo's amazing 'Art World'.
The show mixes real-life scenes with cool 2D animation. What makes Pablo extra special is that all the voice actors and writers are also on the autistic spectrum. This helps make the show very real and understanding. Pablo is shown in many countries around the world, like Australia, Ireland, Latin America, Canada, and on Netflix.

How the Show Works
A typical episode of Pablo starts in the real world. Pablo might be doing something fun, like playing. When he runs into a problem or something he doesn't quite understand, the show changes. For example, he might wonder why his smell seems to disappear after a bath, or why sandwiches are cut into squares instead of triangles.
When this happens, the episode moves into an animated 'Art World'. This world looks just like Pablo's own drawings! In this colorful place, Pablo and his Book Animals work together. They use their imaginations and teamwork to figure out and solve whatever problem Pablo is facing.
Meet the Characters
Here are the main characters you'll meet in Pablo:
- Pablo (played by William & Oliver Burns in real-life scenes, voiced by Jake Williamson): Pablo is the main character. He is kind and loves to play. He enjoys drawing new things in his Art World using his crayons.
- Mouse (voiced by Rachael Dickson): Mouse is a very reliable and cute friend. She likes things to be organized. But watch out, she really dislikes loud sounds! Mouse always talks about herself in the third person.
- Noa (voiced by Tony Finnegan): Noa is a dinosaur who is very sensitive. Sometimes, he finds it hard to show how he's feeling.
- Tang (voiced by Michael White): Tang is an orangutan and the big, fun goofball of the group. He's always ready for an adventure! However, he sometimes has trouble understanding social cues and can be a bit clumsy.
- Wren (voiced by Sumita Majumdar): Wren is gentle and loves to sing. Her calm and comforting voice helps everyone feel better when they are stressed or worried.
- Llama (voiced by Rosie King): Llama loves to skip around on her four legs. She has echolalia, which means she often repeats words or phrases she hears.
- Draff (voiced by Scott Mulligan): Draff is a male giraffe and the smartest of the Book Animals. He is very intelligent and precise. His favorite phrase is "in point of fact," because he loves to explain things!
- Pablo's Mum (played by Rosie Barry): Pablo's mum is caring and always pays attention to him. She supports her son in every way she can. You'll mostly see her in the real-life parts of the show.
