About Cake Entertainment
CAKE works with many different companies that create animated and live-action shows. Some of their partners include Rovio Entertainment, known for Angry Birds, and Ragdoll Productions, which makes shows like Teletubbies.
CAKE also teams up with production studios to make new shows. For example, they worked with Anima Estudios on Space Chickens in Space for Disney. They also partnered with Paper Owl Films for Pablo on CBeebies. Other shows they helped create include Angelo Rules and Mush-Mush and the Mushables.
In 2011, a Spanish company called Zinkia Entertainment bought a large part of CAKE. CAKE then helped manage shows like Pocoyo. However, in July 2014, CAKE's own management team bought back those shares. This made CAKE an independent company again.
CAKE has received awards for its work. In 2018, Animation Magazine voted CAKE the "Best International Distributor." Kidscreen magazine also ranked them as a top distributor. In 2024, CAKE bought the shows and brand of another company called Jetpack Distribution. This added even more shows to CAKE's collection. Ed Galton leads Cake Entertainment.
Shows Cake Distributes
CAKE helps bring many different shows to TV channels and streaming services around the world. This means they help sell the rights for these shows to be broadcast. They have a wide variety of shows for different age groups.
