Paige Spiranac (born March 26, 1993) is an American model, golf instructor, and a popular social media star. She used to be a professional golfer. Paige played college golf at the University of Arizona and San Diego State University. She earned special awards in 2012–13 and 2013–14. In 2015, she helped her team, the Aztecs, win their first championship.

Early Life and Education

Paige Spiranac was born in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Her dad, Dan, played football for the University of Pittsburgh. His team won a national college championship in 1976. Her mom, Annette, was a professional ballerina. Paige's older sister, Lexie, earned a scholarship to Stanford University. She competed on Stanford's track team.

Paige grew up in Monument, Colorado. She trained in gymnastics and dreamed of competing in the Olympics. When she was 12, Paige broke her kneecap twice. This injury made her decide to stop gymnastics and try golf instead. Her parents chose to homeschool her because she had anxiety. As a teenager, Paige lived part-time in Scottsdale, Arizona, and part-time in Monument, Colorado.

Junior Golf Success

Early in her golf journey, Paige won five tournaments. These were part of Colorado's junior golf circuit. One big win was the 2010 CWGA Junior Stroke Play. She became one of the top 20 junior players in the world. Paige was also a top 5 choice for college teams. She was named West Region Player of the Year twice. She also became a first-team All-American. Because of her skills, she earned a golf scholarship to the University of Arizona.

College Golf Journey

In her first year (2011–2012), Paige played golf for the University of Arizona Wildcats. She competed in several college tournaments.

Paige later moved to San Diego State for her second year. She found more success during the 2012–2013 season. Her final year of college golf ended with a big win. Her team, the Aztecs, won their first Mountain West Conference Championship. Paige called this "one of the absolute happiest moments of my life."

Professional Golf Path

Playing on the Cactus Tour

Paige Spiranac started her professional golf career on the Cactus Tour in May 2016. This was at the Las Colinas Club in Queen Creek, Arizona. She won her only tour victory there. She beat Hannah O'Sullivan, who was the top amateur player in the world at the time. In June 2016, Paige finished 17th out of 52 golfers. This was at the Aliante Golf Club. In July, she placed seventh at Walnut Creek in Mansfield, Texas. She also played in the Scottish Open that July.

Paige competed in the CoBank Colorado Women's Open in August/September 2016. She finished in ninth place. In September 2016, she tied for second place at Legacy in Phoenix, Arizona. She also had another top-five finish in October. She ended the season with $8,010 in winnings. This placed her 11th on the money list.

LPGA Tour Attempt

In August 2016, Paige tried to join the LPGA Tour. She competed in her first LPGA Qualifying Tournament. However, she did not earn a card to play on the main professional circuit.

Media and Partnerships

Paige Spiranac has been featured in famous magazines. These include Sports Illustrated Swimsuit and Golf Digest. She also writes a monthly column for Golf Magazine. Her first article appeared in December 2018.
