Paisley Wu (born 12 November 1971) is a popular singer and television host from Hong Kong. She was discovered by Tats Lau, a member of the famous music group Tat Ming Pair.
Since starting her career in the mid-1990s, she has released three albums and one EP. Today, many people know her as a TV host for music shows on the TVB channel.

A Life in Music and Television
Paisley Wu grew up in Shanghai, China, where she trained to sing Italian opera. Later, she moved to San Francisco in the United States. There, she studied other music styles like R&B and jazz.
Early Career and Music Style
In 1994, Paisley released her first album. It was a jazz album sung in Mandarin, her first language. A few years later, in 1996, she signed with a music label called Musician Ltd. Her music started to have more of an alternative rock sound.
Her 1997 album, This is..., received mixed reviews. Some people said her style was very similar to another famous singer, Faye Wong. Paisley has said that Faye Wong was a big influence on her music.
Hosting and Return to Music
After releasing another album in 2002, Paisley became a regular TV host for music programs on TVB. She became very well-known for her hosting work.
In 2007, she made a comeback to the music world with her EP, Don't Think Just Do. The song "Letting Go" from this EP became her first number-one hit single.
Over the years, Paisley has worked with many other artists, including Tats Lau, Jan Lamb, Anthony Wong Yiu Ming, and Edison Chen.
Personal Life and Friendships
In 2008, Paisley married Pal Sinn. He was a member of the 1980s Hong Kong rock band Blue Jeans. He has also written many songs for her albums.
Paisley is part of a close group of friends called “胡說八道會” (which means "Nonsense Club"). Her best friends in the group are Myolie Wu, Nancy Wu, Elaine Yiu, Mandy Wong, and Selena Lee. They even filmed a travel show together.
She also loves long-distance running. She formed a running group called “Crazy Runner” with her friends, including Benjamin Yuen, Joel Chan, and other celebrity pals.
