Pajama Sam 2: Thunder and Lightning Aren't so Frightening is a fun point-and-click adventure game made for kids. It first came out in 1998 for computers like Windows and Macintosh. Later, in 2014, it was also released for Android phones and tablets.

This game is the second one in the Pajama Sam series. In it, you play as Pajama Sam. He goes on an exciting journey into the sky to a place called World Wide Weather. His mission is to help stop the scary thunder and lightning!

What Happens in the Game: The Story

Sam's Big Adventure to World Wide Weather

During a really loud thunderstorm, Pajama Sam decides to be brave. He goes through his attic and finds a way to travel up into the clouds. There, he discovers a huge factory that makes all the weather! This place is called World Wide Weather.

Sneaking In and Meeting Thunder and Lightning

When Sam tries to enter, a grumpy gate stops him. It says he's not an employee! So, Sam has to be clever and sneak inside by hiding in a crate. Once inside, he finds the main control room. Here, he meets Thunder and Lightning. They are surprisingly nice and explain how thunderstorms actually help the Earth.

An Accidental Button Push and a New Mission

As Sam is about to leave, he trips on his cape! He accidentally falls onto a big red button. This causes the weather machines to break down! Now, Sam has a very important job. He needs to find several missing parts for the machines. He has to do this before the boss, Mother Nature, finds out about the mess!

Different Ways to Play the Game

One cool thing about this game is that it's different every time you play! The four missing weather machine parts can be found in different places. There are two possible spots for each part. This means you can have many unique adventures. You can even pick which combination of scenarios you want to play from the options menu!

Fun Extras and Hidden Surprises

Mini-Games and Hidden Animations

This game is full of fun surprises! You can open the game menu at any time and click the "fun" button. This brings up a cool board game, a bit like Sorry!. You play with tokens shaped like umbrellas, fans, ice cubes, and suntan lotion.

Also, almost every room has objects you can click on. When you click them, they trigger small, funny animations. Sometimes, you might even see a 10-second dance party!

Finding Puzzle Pieces and Making Calls

Throughout the game, you can find hidden puzzle pieces. If you collect them all, they form a picture of "Pajama Man." The locations of these pieces change every time you start a new game. You can also use the phone in the lobby. Try dialing different single numbers to hear Sam talk to various departments at World Wide Weather!

Looking Through Binoculars

On the third floor of the building, straight ahead from the main entrance, there's another fun activity. Sam can look through binoculars or a telescope. You can use them to spot hidden items in a yard or field outside.

Special Character Appearances

Like other Junior Adventure games from Humongous Entertainment, this game also has hidden characters. You might spot characters from other Junior Adventure series making a quick appearance!
