What is Paladin Pie?
Paladin Pie is a pizza place located in the Concordia neighborhood of northeast Portland. It is known for its unique Dungeons & Dragons theme. This means the restaurant and its pizzas are inspired by the popular fantasy role-playing game.
Pizza Flavors
The menu offers many different kinds of pizza. Each one has a creative name related to the game. For example, you can try the Druid pizza. It comes with roasted mushrooms, parmesan cream, mozzarella cheese, basil, and lemon. Another choice is the Jazz Cabbage, which has mozzarella, cheddar, bacon, and kimchi. If you like spicy food, the Red Dragon pizza might be for you. It features Buffalo chicken, red onion, and house ranch dressing.
How Paladin Pie Started
Paladin Pie began with owner Leo Brill. He used to be a pizza chef at another restaurant called Oven and Shaker.
From Backyard to Food Cart
Leo Brill started his own pizza business in the summer of 2020. It began as a small pop-up restaurant in his backyard. This means he would make and sell pizzas from his home for a short time. In January 2022, Leo announced exciting news. He planned to open Paladin Pie as a food cart. This cart would be on Alberta Street in northeast Portland. The Paladin Pie food cart officially opened its doors on March 4, 2022.
Giving Back to the Community
Leo Brill also believes in helping others. He has donated money from his business to different groups. These groups include Don't Shoot PDX, For The Gworls, the Minnesota Freedom Fund, the National Black Justice Coalition, and The Okra Project. Flynn McEchron is also a business partner who helps run Paladin Pie.
