In the past, Palmer had many successful semi-professional baseball teams. These "town teams" were very popular during their time.

Basketball Champions

The Palmer high school boys' basketball team was very successful in the 1980s. They won three state championships in a row from 1986 to 1988! Their games were often played in front of huge crowds. The team even set a state record by winning 103 games in a row.
