Panama is located close to the border between Vernon County and Bates County, which is just half a mile north. If you travel north from Panama for about 3.5 miles, you'll reach the town of Rich Hill. Going south for about 13 miles will take you to the city of Nevada.
Just two miles south of Panama, you'll find the Four Rivers Conservation Area. This area is a great place for nature lovers and is located along the Little Osage River.
